Provide loans to community-owned and run businesses.
Your capital does not disappear into overhead. It goes to a community enterprise with a plan its members wrote, alongside a locally embedded facilitator who stays until the business can stand on its own. Where a loan is repaid, the capital is lent again.
Who receives your capital
Community Evolution, a federally registered non-profit based in Vancouver, working with community-based enterprises in four countries since 2015.
Loans, not one-way charity
We combine facilitation, education, and financial mechanisms — grants or loans, depending on the enterprise's stage. Repayments return to the fund and support the next community.
Why the payment page changes
Payments are processed by FundRazr, our external platform. Some campaign pages are still administered under our founder's FundRazr account, so his name may appear. The funds go to CE's program work.
Fund the most urgent loan need
If you are not sure where to start, choose this. We direct undesignated capital to the community loan need our facilitators have flagged as most urgent this quarter.
Women's co-op: working capital loan
Working capital lets a women-led herbal tea cooperative buy materials in bulk and fulfil larger orders without borrowing at high interest. Members repay into a community-managed fund that lends again locally.

What your capital pays for
1. A local embedded facilitator
A convener, listener, networker, and coach from or near the community, who supports local leadership over years, not weeks.
2. Education and training
Governance, financial literacy, business planning, production, and market access — scoped with the members, not delivered at them.
3. Loans and seed capital
Capital for an enterprise the community plans, owns, and manages. Ownership never transfers to us or to an outside investor.
100% of contributed funds go to community programs. Administration is covered separately through volunteer time, in-kind support, and dedicated non-donor funding. See how this works.
